Thiruvananthapuram: Left forces at present do not have the strength required to defeat Sangh parivar’s Fascism single-handed,  said Kerala’s Chairman of Administrative Reforms Commission and senior CPM leader VS Achuthanandan.  National and regional bourgoise parties are disparate,  and secular forces of the latter have to be mobilized tactfully to form a united front.  If this does not happen, Sangh Parivar Fascism cannot be brought to its knees, he said in a statement.  He  drew attention to the election results of the states of Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland and said they needed to be viewed seriously.

At the same time, he added,  the national and regional bourgeoise parties are known for their corruption and nepotism.  It is not easy to come into alliance with them or form a ruling front with their support.   Not only that,  CPM is a party that opened a battle front against such corrupt people.  The arms warehouses of Sangh parivar are full,  he added, and their tactics are well-trained.

The Congress party which ruled post-independence India for decades is now in bad shape,  and so are the Left parties which ruled Bengal and Tripura.  The BJP which makes inroads in those places is  going ahead with draconian neo-liberal policies on the one hand and communal politics on the other.   That party is gathering strength by killing,  and calling for murder,  forsaking the economy for  corporate giants and crony capitalists,  trying to make judiciary a stooge, and allying itself with imperialist forces.
