At the FKCCI Global CSR & Sustainability Summit 2026, Ms. @aisshwarya_dkshegde , Educator & Founder, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking keynote that shifted the conversation on sustainability from environmental responsibility alone to the importance of nurturing responsible, ethical, and future-ready individuals.
Beginning with her personal journey as an educator, daughter, and new mother, she shared how her perspective on sustainability has evolved. She emphasized that the ultimate purpose of sustainable development is to create a better world for future generations and questioned whether we are doing enough to build sustainable human beings alongside sustainable economies.
Speaking on leadership, Ms. Aisshwarya highlighted that leadership is defined not by position, but by responsibility. She encouraged leaders to make decisions that create meaningful impact decades into the future rather than focusing on short-term recognition. She also urged organisations to redefine CSR by moving from charity to capacity building, stressing that investing in teachers, educators, and young minds creates a multiplier effect that benefits society for generations.
Addressing the growing influence of technology, she advocated for the responsible and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence, while reminding the audience that values, empathy, and character must remain at the heart of education. She also called for greater participation from communities, encouraging institutions to transform beneficiaries into active partners in sustainable development.
During the interactive Q&A session, Ms. Aishwarya highlighted the importance of life skills, storytelling, and moral education in nurturing empathy, communication, and emotional resilience among children. She also emphasized the responsible use of AI and social media as powerful tools for learning, inclusion, and holistic development.
