Galfar Al Misnad, a company renowned for its commitment to professional excellence as a leading Contracting company in the state of Qatar. Galfar all set to celebrate the festival of Onam, continued its tradition of embracing unity and cultural festivities with the Athapookalam Competition 2023. The event, held at the Galfar plant facility, saw enthusiastic participation from employees who showcased their artistic flair and team spirit.
As part of an employee engagement initiative by the HR Department, the competition drew the active support and encouragement of the company’s management. The Executive Director, Mr. Satish G Pillai, Senior General Manager Mr. Hemachandran, and General Manager Mr. Anupam Kar, along with other officials, graced the occasion to inspire and motivate the participants.
The competition saw the participation of 10 teams consisting of employees from various divisions from different parts of India and other nationalities as well, all vying to capture the essence of Onam through their vibrant and intricate Athapookalams. Four exceptional teams emerged victorious, earning well-deserved recognition for their creativity ,team work and dedication.
To ensure impartial judgment, Galfar Al Misnad invited esteemed judges from the community, each an expert in their respective fields. Miss Koteshwari Mahesh, Miss Chaitali Shetty, and RJ Astami presided over the evaluation process, lending their expertise to the selection of the winners.
Miss Aparna P. Krishna, Deputy Manager of HR, and the team gracefully hosted the event, ensuring its smooth progression. The Galfar Photography Club documented the event, capturing its memorable moments for posterity.
Expressing his appreciation, Mr. Satish G Pillai acknowledged the hard work of all the individuals responsible for conducting this successful event. Especially the Administration Department, the Plant Department, and the Galfar Photography Club. He commended their dedication in making the event a success, highlighting how such joyous occasions contribute to the company’s sense of camaraderie.
The judges themselves were not only impressed but also enjoyed the event, expressing their admiration for the involvement and commitment of the Galfar top management and all the department’s in executing this event.
