*There is scope to study architecture of Tulunadu: Pundikai Ganapayya Bhat*

Mangalore: Not much research has been done on architecture of Tulunadu as there are lack of research tools. So researchers have great scope to choose the field, said Sri Dhavala College Ancient History and Archaeology retired Professor Pundikai Ganapayya Bhat.

Delivering a special lecture on “Art and Architecture of Tulunad” in a program organized by PG Department of History and Archaeology, Department of History, in collaboration with IQAC at Ravindra Kalabhavana of University College Mangalore, here on Tuesday. There are more than 4000 temples in Tulunad. Most of these were not built by kings, but by people. So it is difficult to measure their specific period, he said.

Delivering a special lecture on “Gupta Era: A Historical Survey”, Mangalore University Retired Professor of History Dr. Lokesh opined that history should be seen from different perspectives. It will widen our knowledge about history.
