*Bangalore June 2, 2023:* In a remarkable act of compassion, the family of Mr. Rohit M., a 27-year-old resident of Bangalore, has made an extraordinary choice to donate his organs following a tragic accident. On May 21, 2023, tragedy struck as Mr. Rohit was involved in a severe accident near Basaveshwara Nagar Sanegoranahalli while returning from work. Quick to respond, he was immediately rushed to Shanbagh Hospital in Basaveshwara Nagar, where he received crucial first aid. However, due to the critical nature of his condition, he was transferred to Vijayanagar Hospital later that evening, around 10:30 pm.
The dedicated medical professionals at Vijayanagar Hospital tirelessly provided Mr. Rohit with the necessary treatment and performed a critical operation on May 24, 2023. Despite their best efforts, his condition remained unstable. Recognizing the need for specialized care, Mr. Rohit was subsequently transferred to Trustwell Hospital on May 28, 2023.
Mr. Rohit was under intensive care and reliant on a ventilator at Trustwell Hospital. Tragically, on May 30, 2023, at 9:45 pm, the medical team had to declare the first brain stem death.
Amidst the heartache and pain, Mr. Rohit’s family has displayed extraordinary strength and empathy by consenting to donate his organs. This decision holds the potential to offer a new lease of life to individuals who are in desperate need of organ transplants.
The organs being donated from Mr. Rohit include his liver, kidneys, heart valves, and corneas. Each of these organs plays a vital role in restoring health and vitality to those suffering from organ failure. Mr. Rohit, who worked as a purifier technician at Herbal Clap Company for four years, leaves behind a loving wife and a six-month-old baby girl. His parents, who have supported him unwaveringly, are a plumber and a homemaker. Additionally, Mr. Rohit has two sisters who are part of their close-knit family.
