Manglore 5 March 2023: Bearys Chamber of Commerce and Industry successfuly organised a three-day ‘Beary Mela’ at Town Hall in Mangaluru from March 3 to 5 showcase the community’s culture, heritage and entrepreneurship quality.
B.M. Mumtaz Ali, was s convener of the mela, Beary community has worked for development of the region and has made significant contribution to industry, education and other sectors. “The mela highlights our work, heritage and culture,” The event is also witnessed to build harmony among communities,
On the inaugural day on March 3, there was award function to felicitate people who have contributed to development of the region. MLA U T Abdul Kader on his innougrel adress said beary community contribution towards socio economic conditions of the country is historical.
JDS leader and MLC BM Farooq innougrted beary Mela and said under the leadership of SMR Rasheed Haji this Mela is getting more success in every year.
Above hundred stalls was in Mela most of them run by woman entrepreneurs. Shahida founder of HAMD home productsS Said family’s shuld eat organic and naturalF Foodmost of the hamd products are home made.
A women entrepreneur meet also hosted on March 4, followed by family business talk session, and Beary cultural programme. Nisar Ahmed, Mohammad Arabi,Dr Anjum Iftikhar, Mansoor Ahmed Azad, Zakariya Jokatte, and Shihab MohammadA felicited by beary achievers award.
A job mela is for young unemployed arranged on March 5. There was a ‘Bol Beary Bol’ talent show, followed by another round of Beary cultural programmes.
As many as 100 abov stalls has been put up at the mela, Mangaluru City South MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath. Mayor Jayanand Anchan and Mangaluru Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R. Jain, congress leader inayath Ali, moidin bawa, KSM masood, kanachur monu haji , Dr U T ifthikhar Ali,Shouqath shouri, Rohan Montero, Riyaz bawa, Abdul Nasir lucky’star and other dignitaries attended in the programme.
